Baby Evy recently turned six months old so now that I’m back to blogging newborns, I figured it was about time I featured her! But before I tell you about her session, can I just say how much I love when my past newborns become older siblings? It’s really so wonderful to see past clients again, see how much their first little baby has grown, and meet the newest addition to their family! I really have the best job!!
Today I’m highlighting Baby Evelyn! She is the little sister to Andy, one of the very first newborns I photographed when my studio was brand new a couple of years ago already. His little face is just as cute as it was when he was a baby and I have to say that he allllmost stole the show during Evy’s newborn session. He was so well-behaved! We managed to get him for two poses with his little sister, which is pretty impressive for a two year old who doesn’t want to stay still.
Evy’s session took place when she was just 8 days new! A lot of people don’t know this, but newborn sessions are best done within the first 14 days of birth. That’s the time in their little lives when they’re the sleepiest and curliest. And almost the smallest, too! We started the session out with family photos, parent photos, and sibling photos, and then moved on to individual baby photos. We used a soft color palette of soft coral pink and dusty rose and at the last minute we incorporated a soft green that was just so pretty with Evy’s skin tone. Check out a few favorites from the session below!

Evy gave us the best little facial expressions but this one was by far my favorite! Cutest yawn award goes to…
